Have any 169 4x4 owners fitted a rear bumper protector? Or looking to fit one? If so, what have you got/found?

I've had a look online and a few suppliers have a different part for the standard Panda and 100hp. For example RGM Automotive have this one for the Panda - https://rgmautomotive.co.uk/product/abs-rgm-rearguard-fiat-panda/ but states this is not for 'Cross 4×4/Climber'. I'm not sure whether these models have a different bumper to the regular 4x4 I have

Here's the 100hp version for anyone interested https://rgmautomotive.co.uk/product/abs-rgm-rearguard-fiat-panda-100/

I have an RGM one on my 100hp. They’re ok to cover up an already tatty bumper, but the problem is that inevitably small pieces of road dirt end up underneath the lip and scratch the bumper. Which pretty much defeats the object.

Hmm... that makes sense. Mine is so bad that further scratches may actually be an improvement :)

I've used it on motorbike petrol tanks. Make sure the paint surface is scrupulously clean and take great care to not finger-print the vinyl at the edges as this is where it will eventually begin to peel.

Looks nice attached with adhesive tape so grit getting underneath should not be an issue.

It looks almost O.E on my white 100HP, it's fixed on by 2 bumper bolts inside the hatch recess and trim tape all along the edge of the hatch opening of the bumper. As I had treated the body kit with GTecniq C4 (it needs another coating now) I gave the bumper protector a coating of it to help stop the discoloration that happens to black plastic.:)

If you sit it on polyurethane sealant, the new trim wont move and dirt wont get under the edges. Clean off excess sealant with WD 40 or paint brush cleaner before it cures.
