The struts I put on seem to make a creaking noise when steering on a fuller lock either way. They didn't to begin with, only started a few days ago. Any likely culprits?

Happens when stationary or moving.

Could be quite a few things. Does it appear to be both sides making the noise or just 1?

My first suspects would be top mounts or bottom balljoints.

Seems worse turning left.
Going to try right hand side to see too.

It is like a dry creak, like a rubbing type noise I think.

I have the old top mounts which made no noise, so I could get spring compressors and swap them over to try.

It makes the noise on the passenger side if I turn left or right it seems. Can't make out a noise on the driver side.

To me it sounds like top mounts, from listening to clips online.

It had new lower control arms both sides this afternoon. Noise happened before this though

spray a little silicone grease around where the spring seats top and bottom and right at the top centre should be all that's needed
