Hi all

I'm sure this has been done to death but as a new 100HP owner, can anyone recommend a good Workshop Manual and crucially, where I can get my hands on one?

Thanks

Andy

I had a quick look. The snag with Macs is the SW usually costs a fortune for not much. The free stuff however can be very good so we will see.

So... silly question... how do i turn those files into something readable without a CD?

Hmm, most of the eLearn;'s are .iso files but I just noticed this one is an .mdx file, so a little more complicated but still fairly simple.
Firstly, use WinRAR to extract the .mdx file.

Download and install Daemon Tools.

Use this to mount the .mdx file as a virtual CD-ROM drive.

As there are multiple files, how do you turn that into a single mdx file? I tried extracting together and got error messages that the file was only partially extracted.

Sorry I was working last night so should've tried to be a bit more specific.
Make sure all 7 parts are the right size first of all - when I downloaded them one part was too small which caused an error.
Open the first file in WinRAR and extract the .mdx file. If you get any more errors, post the exact here or google it.

Thanks, I'll give it another go tonight and post any errors that I get

Windows has it's own file compression tools but it struggles. While I was trying to find why my MES had failed to work I installed 7-zip which coped nicely with some oddly named files and it will do .rar files.

I've got eLearn installed Yay It's full of diagrams with code names for boxes - user friendly it is not. Boo

I cannot find any signs of wiring diagrams. Does it include any, because I'm sick of going about in circles? For example I cannot even find the ignition switch. Even something that basic is hidden away.

Select language, then engine from the opening screen.

Then select "Electrical equipment", then "Wiring", then "Electrical Functions", then "Starting and Recharging, then "Starting and Recharging - Wiring Diagrams"

The ignition switch is item H1 on the diagram.

Thanks. I'll have another look. All I had found was the perspective diagrams showing where each box (by part code) is placed in the car.
