Hi there, new here ...so hello to everyone.

I have a Fiat Panda 2005 169 1.2 Dualogic Automatic, I have located the transmission fluid reservoir behind a steel cover and had to remove the fan to get to it.

The level is very low, would explain the issues with gear change and jumping into neutral.

My question is what exact oil do I need, there is confusion over 75w90 or 85 or 80..can anyone help please?

Thank you

Please don't use any of them. All of those will kill your actuator. They are for the gearbox.

Use Tutela CS-Speed fluid for the actuator.

However, if you have a leak, you need to sort it out, rather than just "topping up" the reservoir.
And you need to follow the correct procedure, or you will over-fill it.

If there is no leak, it's possible your accumulator has failed, which is a fairly easy fix. It's a gas filled sphere with a diaphragm, and when the diaphragm splits the gas escapes and gets replaced with fluid, lowering the level.
Symptoms are pump running much more often than usual, occasional gear drop-outs, and blown fuses.

Thank you so much for this. I would have junked my actuator. I will fill the reservoir to the min/max levels. If the problem persists then how much is an actuator? Where would I get one? Is it easy to fix yourself or do I need a proper mechanic ?

Thanks for your help.
