Hey everyone! Anyone else experienced this? my steering has begun to feel very light at highway speeds. the city button works flawlessly and i dont notice anything different while driving at city speeds. What in the world could this be?

in the recent 6 months i've changed
(Cambelt etc.)
(Battery)
(tyres + allingement)

Check tyre pressures if you've had some fitted recently. The tyre fitter put 40psi in mine last year.

Yes, that's right for a 1.1 or 1.2 petrol.

My owner's manual (from 2004) says:
1.1 and 1.2 petrol: 2.0 bar front, 1.8 rear (medium load), 2.2 bar all round (full load)
1.3 diesel: 2.2 bar front, 1.8 rear (medium load), 2.2 bar all round (full load)
Space-saver spare 2.8 bar(!)

2.0 bar is 29 psi, 1.8 is 26 psi, 2.2 is 32 psi, 2.8 is 41 psi.

make sure the tires are fitted the correct way round too.

if its not that or the pressures, then i would suspect the alignment wasnt done properly.

mine pulls left with the correct alignment of zero toe. Its a lot better with a slight toe in. I adjusted each side by two spanner flats and improved the speed stability.

Another possible is the front bottom arms rear bushes. When these get soft the car tends to "tram-line" on overbanding at motorway speed but feels fine at town speeds
