Hello everyone! Any of u have experience on installing electrical side mirrors? mine panda is fitted with manual ones and im looking into upgrading them. Any knowledge would be highly appericiate

Remove the car door card and see if you have wiring for an electric mirror. If you have the wires, its plug and play. If not, its a huge amount of wiring to install everything.

If there are any cables they should plug into the electric mirror connector.

If you have to cut the plastic liner film beneath the door card you must seal it with waterproof tape. Parcel tape will not do. The film is there to stop the door car getting damp.

If your car has the connector, it will be here:

And here too:

You will also need the command block:

and pass the wires through the door to the new mirror

The computer does not intervene in the operation of the mirrors

Edited - Typo missed out the operative word.

I suspect the mirrors are simple wiring with NO connection via the body computer.

BUT you still need to check the doors for wiring.

If there is no wiring, you can still do the job but you would need to run new wires from the switch and out to the mirrors. TBH that would be a big job for what is really just a nice to have accessory.

Very true! yeah i'll only do it if im lucky enough to have the wiring already installed

Resurrecting an old thread to ask if there's any way of getting at the wiring connector without dismantling half the door? The wire isn't that long so I feel like there must be a sneaky trick?

See what I mean?

Because I'm not the original poster and I definitely have electric mirrors. The wiring is there, I just need to replace the mirror unit (because the prior owner broke it).
The wiring isn't long enough for the connection to be much inside the door panel, so I'm wondering if anyone has found a way of getting enough slack in the wiring to do it without taking the panel off.

Electric mirrors can be fitted to a car with manual mirrors with Fiat 500 door switch and door wiring loom.

You would need to take a brave pill and cut a hole in your door trim to take the switch. Then swap the Panda door wiring for the 500 wiring. You will need to run wires under the dash/carpets to the passenger side but the 500 door loom does most of the work.
