Hi.
Read a lot about the climate control issue that causes a lack of heat.
I have something similar but just want to see if it is or isn't.

My climate runs cool most of the time but should I press the recirculate button with the fan at a higher speed and directed to feet the air then becomes hot.
It will stay hot then in any direction until the fan drops low and then the air becomes cool again.

I guess it's the hideously expensive fix (not going to happen) but just checking.

Cheers
Toby.

The flap is repairable there is a detailed thread on the subject.

The alternative is a manual air con heater from a 1.2 Panda.

The cabin temperature sensor above gear lever sock gets clogged with dust vacuum it out.

Thanks Dave I'll clean the temp sensor.

The repair will have to wait if it's the flap if doom as I have a 50 year old Land Rover that needs a gearbox out, diff pinion seal replacement, new rear sliding window tracks, parking heater fitted and the list goes on!

Have ordered new filters for Panda though.

Thanks for all the help.

Frankly I much prefer the manual controls in Mrs Dave's 1.2 Dynamic which has aircon. The press loads of times buttons on the climate control are really not worth the benefit. (IMO )

When the 100HP heater goes AWOL I will look for a manual type heater case and swap it out.

How big a job is it?

I will tell you when I have done it. There might be a thread on the subject.

I suspect the dash has to be removed, probably along with at least one front door. With a huge amount of work like that, I would not want to fit a flaky heater repair which sooner or later might do the same thing again.
