I'm thinking of buying a 2007, 1.3 multijet with 50,000 on the clock.
Not knowing too much about diesel Panda's, I'm ok on petrol models,
What should I be looking out for please?

If its got a DPF make sure its working correctly. Too much c**p from the engine clogs the DPF leading to expensive problems.
Steel coolant pipe at front of engine.

Inlet manifolds on slowly driven cars can get carbonned to the point of blocked airflow requiring the manifold off the engine to clean it properly. Some people chuck carb cleaner down it. (1) it rarely works and (2) you risk a damaged turbo. Its a small risk but if its clogged it needs to be properly stripped down.


Don't pay over the odds for the low miles as time is just as if not more damaging than miles.

When you get it home, remove the glow plugs, treat threads with anti seize and replace. They are noted for getting stuck in the head usually just before they pack up.
