The battery and its support tray will have to be removed to access the clutch slave cylinder. The wiring loom clips are a pain.
The slave has a plastic retainer. Fit it to the car keep the push rod aligned then snip the plastic ties.
Look at the hydraulic pipe run and take smartphone pix before taking it out.
On mine the plastic clip at back of the wheel arch was old and brittle. I tied the QD connector in place with zip ties after clagging it up with Denso. It does need to be supported.
I wrapped my connector with Denso Tape to hopefully keep the QD from corroding. That's the sticky greased cotton stuff that's used for protecting metal in corrosive areas. It's overkill at the age of my car but hey.
