Hi all,

I'd like to fit a DAB Bluetooth Radio into my Fiat Panda Active 2005 1.1 engine car. Does anyone know if this is possible and what I'd need to do this?? I'd love to have DAB radio and also bluetooth integrated so I can use my phone hands-free too.

I don't want to order the items and then find it is not possible..

Thanks very much!

Welcome to the forum.

This is absolutely possible, and relatively easy.
Components you'll need:
  • Chosen headunit/stereo
  • Fascia adaptor
  • Wiring harness adaptor
  • DAB antenna (may come with the headunit, but not always)
  • A little electrical know-how, or a qualified auto-electrician friend.

Fitting an aftermarket headunit is a fairly standard process regardless of what vehicle it's being fitted to and is one of the simplest mods a person can do to their own car with minimal tools.

Hi and welcome,

I’m going to make this very easy.
All you need is something like this

Nextbase Adapt DAB350BT In-car DAB+ DAB Digital Radio with Bluetooth Handsfree & Music Streaming, FM Digital Audio Adapter (Includes Fitting Kit, Cables & Active Antenna) Nextbase Adapt DAB350BT In-car DAB+ DAB Digital Radio with Bluetooth Handsfree & Music Streaming, FM Digital Audio Adapter (Includes Fitting Kit, Cables & Active Antenna): Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

There are several adaptors like that around the £30-50 mark, they plug into the lighter socket the DAB antenna is a self adhesive thing that sticks to the side of the windscreen, and they send the DAB radio to your normal original radio either via FM radio signal or if you have one an auxiliary input. Obviously the sound quality will never be as good as Eklipze3k suggested, but it’s passable if you just want to listen to some talk radio and your not expecting The absolute best from your music. Also has Bluetooth. It just saves having to change the whole radio out.

Sorry Dave but this doesn’t really help......
