Hi everyone

I have a 2006 MJ
Occasionally the starter switch does not energize the starter motor( no clicking or any evidince that the starter is jammed). The car has 100K on it.
A few days ago my vigorous starting attempts caused the fuse to blow,

With the fuse replaced it is back to Normal again but the non-start is more frequent.
I don't want to get stuck, so I plan to change the starter switch.
It seems to be an easy swap, does anyone have any experience of this.

I had this happen on a motorbike starter (same type as used on car engines). Parts were not available so the only solution was a replacement starter motor. I chose to get reconditioned unit but just 12 months later the one-way clutch failed. I fitted a working used starter at 1/2 the cost and all was well again.
