Good afternoon all

My wife has a 2004 Panda 1.2 active which she loves

The drivers seat is worn through on the base

I have located a passenger seat in the same fabric are the bases (or complete seats) interchangeable

Many thanks in anticipation

Hi. :)

They should be.

But obviously the mechanics may be 'handed'

Look on ePER.. The foam and cover are probably same part number
in S :lh or D: rh

The bases can be swapped.
2 bolts, easy job.... Unless one is height adjustable and the other isn't.
You can put a base from a height adjustable onto a non-height adjustable frame, but not the other way round, as there are cut-outs in the metal on one type but not the other.

You can still swap just the fabric, but it's harder work.

Two 10mm bolts under the front of the seat squab, and it then lifts at the front and unhooks. Literally a five minute job. I've removed mine a couple of times and scrubbed/pressure washed the squabs to remove normal soiling from use.

The fabric seems to take this treatment without problems, so something else has probably caused your wear - back pocket wallet rubbing, or sliding across seat on entry for instance?

Jeans especially with riveted pockets can be tough on car upholstery. It's arguably worth fitting a seat cover but the cover will slide and ruckle and concentrate wear under the folded fabric.

Leather seats anyone? :slayer:

PS. Take care with the seat's metal frames. The cut edges are not deburred and very sharp.
