The Panda SUV that Fiat showed at several MotorShows (The orange one!) will be introduced on the Dutch market in March 2006. The model will be listed above the Panda 4X4 Climbing en will be called Panda Cross. The Cross will have the multijet diesel engine and 4X4. In addition to the normal 4x4 it will have a diflock, more ground clearance and wider tyres. Lets's hope that this Panda finds it's way to the UK!

Fiat will also introduce a small SUV early next year based on the Suzuki Swift. It will be called 'Sedici'.

Below is a link to the Dutch newspaper site. Text is all in Dutch but is has two photo's of the orange Panda SUV.

There's a write up about it just put on, on the Italiaspeed site. Shame it's so dear. I'll have to wait a couple of years until used ones come up. It looks really cool, just what i'd be looking for in a winter car.

Another good looking version of the Panda SUV made its debut at the Bologne motorshow. This one is called 'Monster' after the Ducatti Monster motorbike.

Steve I was down with Des the Fiat Sales manager at MS yesterday morning about the Suv Monster. As you have probably read Fiat are only going to make 620 of the Monster = the cylinder capacity of the bike. It looks as though they are all going to be LHD only (that'll suit me :D ). Fiat UK have almost no details on it and do not think it will be offered to the UK. It will be at least June next year before anything solid is known but if there's a possibility of one coming over here I have put my name down for one.
"I have absolutely NO idea were the money is coming from for it but I want one."
Watch this space.

And definetely the alloys with the tires

Erm Steve, those men are wearing red and the one in front is a certain Mr Schumaker. It's the Ferrari F1 team on theyre winter break. Massa's driving the Munster.

While down finalising the details on Lornas Punto they were able to tell me the Cross Won't be coming to the UK. So it's saving up time now until next year and the a trip to Belgium for one Me thinks. I've never imported a car before so I may start looking into it now.

Dear Mr. Duthie,

Thank you for contacting Fiat Auto (UK) and for your interest in the Fiat Panda Cross.

Unfortunately the Panda 4x4 SUV will not be released to the UK market as it is not available in right hand drive, the Panda 4x4 is however currently available from our dealerships.

If you wish to obtain the vehicle there is the possibility that you would be able to privately import it. However when a left hand vehicle is imported to the UK there are essential modifications and certifications that would need to be completed/ obtained in order for it to be legally driven here. These include the speedometer being changed to MPH and the headlights being adjusted as well as many more.

I'd like to offer our apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment that may have been caused to you through this situation.

Assuring you of our best attentions
