Hi all. I hope you can help!
Trusty 2005 Panda 4x4 petrol
Running rough
Has had new plugs, leads and coils and earth cleaned...still rough
Was like driving a shopping trolley over cobbles on way back from mates garage. 70 miles. I ache. Lol
Can anyone suggest anything? We're pulling our hair out....oh...compression was tested and its very good!
Cheers in advance!

I would try a bottle of "STP Injector Cleaner" and run 2-300 miles. If you are lucky, wash it completely away from dirt in the injection system or if you have a carburetor. Cheap and worth a try

Draken THANKYOU that was at the back of my mind! I've already run some through....but will get some better quality stuff. Cheers mate.

Hesitation on acceleration
Poor idle
low power
want rev past xy or z
and so on. Running rough is open to lots of interpretations

if its say running on 3 cylinders you could pull the spark plugs off one at a time then start the car. It will run worse when any spark lead is removed except when removed from the fault cylinder.

but without more info we are just going to guess every part on your engine.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I thought I'd been clear. Leads changed, plugs changed, coils changed, compression tested 180 every cylinder. Diagnostics not coming up with anything specific. Rough across the board! Slight misfire...I had a 2 hour drive that was like a shopping trolley on cobbles! I don't know how to be more specific. It's Rough! If it had been rough on idle is have stated that.
I was hoping someone had had a similar issue as my mate with the garage is also stumped by it!

does it drive better or worse if you disconnect the MAP sensor ?

you will get a engine check light eventually just ignore it for testing.

Located near where..?

Worth getting Italian software on it to asses it.

Sounds like you have the fundamentals of a decent fuel burn..

But something is messing with the fuelling.. timing of the burn.

Cambelt and waterpump age?

Charlie

Thank you for trying to help.
Camber and pump changed approx 18 months ago. Car has 65k on clock.
Maybe I should just sell it. I have 4 cars and none are right. Sorry but I'm at my wits end ☺ not having happy day. Bought a cheap Audi tt for some fun 2 months ago. That has been nothing but trouble and died on way home from work on Friday.
Best bet seems to be to put the tank back in my 1936 car and use that!
