I've heard it said that Ford Ka seats will fit the Panda.
I'd quite fancy a set of heated leather ones.
So...
Does anyone know for sure if they fit? And if so, how difficult is it - ie do they just bolt straight in? Also - are the actually comfortable?

Any advice greatly appreciated...

Cheers :)

I would assume you could get 500 ones as cheap.. and easier feedback on their comfort ;)

I believe the Ka, Panda and 500 are all made in the same Polish plant so it's likely that all seats are basically the same though with various trims to suit the various car models.

You could have seats retrimmed, though second-hand seats are usually cheaper cost.

There are a couple of threads on here about swapping the seats over

From memory I think one bracket on the seat base has to be taken off and turned around, but other than that it's very straight forward, and I don't think turning the bracket round is that hard either.

Would be worth having a search

IIRC 306maxi has one with the leather seat option and I remember him saying they're an improvement over the standard Lounge seats. I also remember he had a problem with premature degradation in the early days (the seats, not Maxi ;)), which I believe was fixed under warranty.

I believe the chrysler ypsilon seats will also fit without much effort

Sorry I can't find the quote, but somebody recently mentioned to be VERY careful around the seat body frames as the cut metal edges are not smoothed at the factory and left VERY sharp.

I think that was me. Sharp to the level that you don't even feel the cut most of the time, just notice the red paint leaking everywhere.

Yes, I found the same thing when I took apart two front seats to fit a heated seat kit : very badly finished on the parts that can't be seen.

Possibly the seats are robot assembled. No worries about workers getting slashed to ribbons so metal deburring costs are saved.
