Hello!

I'm new, I've been looking for a Fiat Panda 100hp for a while now and one has come up "nearby". It's the first time I've seen one for sale.

I have some questions if you'll humour me.

1. Panel gaps, are they a thing or has this panda been in a crunch? (Image attached)

2. How much does it cost to get a new remote fob key programmed?

3. The gear knob is an aftermarket one that spins around, is it easy to buy new OEM ones?

Thanks!

Hello!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

It's been crunched - this is not normal.

2. How much does it cost to get a new remote fob key programmed?

A lot. If you go for a main dealer solution, budget £300. Personally I'd pay £400 less for any Fiat with only one key over what I'd pay for one with both original keys.

There are a lot of well used, rubbish 100HP's out there, and quite a few mediocre ones.

Good clean ones are not so common. From what you've posted so far, this would appear not to be one of them.

Thanks for the response! Yeah the lack of a key remote was the deal-breaker - would need a big chunk of money off the sale!

I shall continue my search! :)

Can you not get a remote key fob at Timpsons for about £100?

You can, but it won't work with the remote and might not work with the immobiliser.

Panel gaps around the bumpers are not a huge deal as any car 10+ years old is likely to have had the odd knudge in a car park. Dodgy shut lines elsewhere - walk away.

Front bumper moulding on an ordinary Panda - £60 plus paint.
Front bumper moulding on a 100HP - £300 plus paint. I've not priced the rears but expect similar cost differences.

Front wings bolt on. They might have just been fitted badly after a fender bender. Check the inner panels for wrinkles.

Back axle is common for rust (on all Pandas). Walk away if it's flaking because you can't do the Fiat 500 solution on a 100HP. New axles are megabux.

All of these should knock a big chunk off the price.
