Hiya people I recently lowered my Panda 100HP by 25mm and I want some better fitment does anyone have any photos of wheels spacers on their Pandas and what size spacers I also don’t want it to rub loads on hard cornering and to be fairly flush

Recently got some 16mm spacers for mine (which is lowered on Eibach -30mm springs). Took them off because they were a little bit too much for me, maybe some 10mm ones will be a bit more subtle.View attachment 195714 IMG_1428.JPG

The 100HP with less than perfect (i.e. normal) front suspension bushes is already prone to follow road grooves and white lines. That's not dissing the car (its great) but the issue is a trade off between short/wide wheelbase and wide wheels.

Why would you want to compromise the handling by fitting wheel spacers that will cause bump steer and potentially even steering flutter.

hes not listening
i had my insurance cancelled many many years ago for fitting wheel spaces
ive seen some very dangerous spigot bodges too in my job, frightening, iv'e even seen holes elongated to fit wrong wheels

That’s why (like all modifications) you check with your insurance company first.
And that’s also why you only buy hubcentric wheel spacers with a 4x98 pcd.

I had a kit car back in the 1980s that must have been designed by a chimp. It used Ford Escort Mk1 or Mk2 running gear. It was fine for a while but as the front tyres wore down, it developed a steering wobble bad enough to make the whole car shake. It was caused by excessive wheel offset hidden by a large negative camber.

For anyone thinking about them, wheel spacers will cause the same issues AND they usually cause the tyres to hit wheel arches. Unfortunately on a Panda, all you need is a metal disc with holes in and longer wheel bolts.

an engineer and CAD designer are payed a lot to get the geometry correct. Using simulators they tweek each part until a best comprimise is achieved

we then add a spacer that

affects the
scrub radius
king pin offset
deflection force lever arm
wheel bearing load

and hope it doesn't effect the

tyre wear, steering stability under braking, suspension wear and so on.
