Technical Intermittent Multijet problem

Problem solved.....two problems solved to be exact.

Took the injectors out and #4 nozzle looked a lot dirtier than the others. Had them ultrasonically cleaned, and sorted the problem.

Egr fault still flashing up, which ended up being the new MAF sensor (cost £70, so wasn't a "cheap" £30 one).

Took EGR off, very clean to be honest, same with manifold, only light coating of oil. Cleaned and refitted, problem still there.

Bought a genuine Bosch MAF off eBay and it's fixed it, no more EGR fault.

Since then blocked off EGR valve, fitted a turbo off of the newer multijet engine as I was offered it for beer money, front mount intercooler, and remap to suit. ??

Good news..

So.. was it a dodgy BOSCH MAF sensor?

Just wondering..
What fluid did they clean the injector in?

Originally it had a Bosch MAF which I changed as it flagged up a fault code and stuttered at times.

Bought an aftermarket MAF from ECP which worked fine for 3 months, then EGR problem started.

Went back to a used but working Bosch MAF, and it sorted it. Lesson learned, always buy quality.

No idea what they cleaned it with, was a Bosch service centre.
