OK, new to the forum. Aplogies for rekindling (if not reigniting) an earlier thread.
Likely next car is going to be a Panda 100HP.
Question is how to tell if they have ESP? Seems it was an option.
I searched this forum and there seems to be a lot of confusion between ESP and ASR (traction control) that can be switched off.
As ESP cannot be switched off, there is obviously(?) no external indicator if a particular example has it.
Are there any chip upgrades that disable it?
Several posts from owners claim to have bought a used one without ESP; how do you know?
Any info appreciated.

Currently car less except for an Alfa GTV6 in Portland OR USA

You'd have to have the button. Otherwise it's not there.
I don't miss it and am always in sportmode.

Just to expand on A3's post - if it's got the ASR button, it has ESP. If it doesn't, it doesn't - it's both or neither.
