On the Panda 1.3MJ 70 2007, the cluster there is cruise control icon at down on left corner, is this means can fit a cruise control? the 1.2 share same cluster I am not sure if it was design for fit on 1.2 or 1.3?

appreciate for helpful tips

HI. Connect to the ECU.

IF you can light the symbol.

Then
Use the ENABLE CRUISE icon.

There is another thread detailing other options.

I think I have found is this right one for enable cruise control?

Get advice on what kit to use. Some are far too coarse on the accelerator action. I had an Audi A4 diesel with cruise. It was nice but even that was lead footed compared to my own driving style - and I didn't hang about.

The cruise throttle stepper motor needs to be of really good quality or the action will feel on/off. Vacuum control might be smoother.

This looks pretty nice though unlikely to be low cost. http://www.canm8.com/precision-cruise-fiat-punto-evo.html

The option you found on MES is not for activating CC, but for relearning the ECU with factory settings.
You need an aftermarketsolution like said above.

Sorry you are wrong,
Read the description on MES. When you do a learnt parameter reset the cruise setting is cleared and operating the control stalk will enable cruise.
1/Use MES "actuators" to see if the cruise light works, if not quit.
2/ Buy and fit Fiat stalk switch.
3/ Check switch works in MES "parameters"
4/ Do learn parameter reset.
5/ Operate switch and road test.

I'd love to be wrong.
But AFAIK 169 Panda was never fitted with factory cruisecontrol. So where to plug a Fiat stalk in? I'd love to have it although I rarely use it, but I'm afraid it's never gonna work as described.

The biggest issue is does the ECU support it? even for a given engine there can be 3 or more ECU part numbers. If it has the dashboard light and it can be turned on then there is a very good chance it will work. It is always possible to wire the stalk directly to the ECU if the loom isn't present. A test with 4 jury rigged switches could be used to confirm without buying a stalk.

:eek:Now you completely lost me:D

I'm wondering if the bodycomputer has a role in this as well.
However I would choose for an aftermarketsolution. But since I'd only use it on vacations I cannot justify the cost.
However if a secondhand stalk and a homemade loom would work...
