Can I buy one used and have it recoded to my friend's car?
I have VAG background and this is ow it works there. Is it the same with Fiats?

Maybe with Proxiallignment in MES.
But I think it's important to find one with exact the same options.

Three years on and still no definitive answer but suspect post 7 will be correct.


A lot cars you have to change ecu, body and or immobilizer and keys as a set. Unless you swap the eeprom over. Not an easy job. As the source code has never been broken.

Auto locksmiths can read the codes directly from the eeprom. If you loose your key they strip it down and attach probes directly to the eeprom and read them directly. There a YouTube somewhere advertising it's features. Can't be bothered to look for it as it's hundreds of pounds
