We've got a 2005 Fiat Panda 1.1 Petrol. Lovely car when it is working but it has sprung a new fault this week.


Engine light came on when my girlfriend was driving it. After she switched off and back on again the light was still there. It was driving okay. She checked the oil level and it is about two inches two high. Checking it tonight the oil doesn't look right and has a whiff of petrol about it. I will drain it down over the weekend but can't think of anything other than fuel that would cause the oil to be high without any mayonnaise etc.....


Has anybody had this before and what was it? Or any thoughts? The best thought I have so far is injector leaking. I do have a code reader on the way that may help.

Hi..far from common but yes..there have been some reports of this.

A 500 thread discussed same issue..and found it common in the Ka with the same FIRE engine
