Hi all:) I need to fit a switched live socket in my Panda. IE not off the key. On my late punto it was easy as there was a permanent live male connector in the internal fuse box.
I haven't spent much time looking..but my Panda is different. I was wondering if anyone has a quick easy answer?.) I'm being lazy so thought I'd just ask to save me messing around:)
On my punto I just fitted a switch and an extra cigar lighter socket to run my sat nav phone charger and dash cams etc while my car was off.
Thanks in advance guys:)

In the fusebox by your knee there's a big fat red wire feeding in. As long as you're not drawing a massive load, you can tap off this. Make sure you don't cut into it and join it as it needs to still supply a good amount of power to other circuits.

I fitted a cig lighter in my panda, i brought the wires in from the battery (fused) near where the passengers feet, under the carpet, there is a small hole, i passed the wires through the hole and hid them under the carpet, bit fiddly but it worked well.

Thank you:)

I run my dash cam off a power bank. sits nicely in the ducket above the radio.
Good idea! But I run two dash cams..front and rear plus phone and laptop and e-cig s. So I really need a separate charge connection. Will be looking at a direct battery switched socket really. I'll also be upgrading the battery and alternator from my Punto..I have a larger battery from a 1.9 Diesel punto and the larger alternator too..

Just the other side of the glove box (RHD) is the battery. Just make sure you add a inline fuse.
Thais is probably what I'll end up doing mate:) do I need to remove the carpet or can it just be pulled down in the foot well?

Yes found this large wire. I'd prefer to come off battery and not interfere with it TBH..thanks all the same mate:)
