Hi all,

Noticed recently that my RHS headlight assembly is flopping about like nobody's business. I'm expecting that the bottom mount has snapped off, or that when it had some work done the bolt was never put back in.. If it's option B, does anyone know what bolt it might be? Any tips on getting to the bottom mount would be appreciated too!

Thanks all

The three mounting brackets are potentially fragile. If the lamp is struck they can break.
However, repair kits are available.

Others may be available, just the first I found.

The bad news. The lower mounting is a 6mm bolt, 10mm head size, but is difficult to get at. The bumper has to come off to get the headlamp out. It will not come out without the bumper off. I have tried.
Getting the bumper off is not difficult, just lots of little screws to detach it. Just a bit time-consuming.

I have replaced a headlamp in the past without removing the bumper.

It is a pain, but possible. Jack the car and remove the road wheel. Unclip the inner wheel arch liner along the front, and bend back. It needs some method of holding it back - I just forced it and jammed it.

You will now be able to get your hand in the opening and reach the lower head lamp bolt. A recce with a torch first will give you a good eyeball fix.
