Hi I have a 1991 panda 1000s. I attempted to drive it a couple of days ago, I put my foot on the clutch and it sank to the floor, having inspected it today the cable is fine but the release arm is ceased. Is there a way of freeing this up, many thanks. Andy Gibbons

You will getter a better response if you post on the Panda Classic section.

All the best fixing your clutch. I suspect a full inspection will be required

Hi Andy, this is a common problem on Pandas after they have stood. It is usually possible to free the arm off by working it back and forth with some WD40 or similar sprayed around the arm where is goes into the gearbox.

Recruit a helper and get them to press the clutch down whilst you lever the arm back, keep doing that and hopefully it should free up. If it does not, or you want to prevent it from happening again then you will need to remove the gearbox to remove the release arm to clean it up.
