What's this bit about smell and noise with the Panda Diesel ?? Have had one for the past nine months. Friends ask me if it is a diesel - they are not sure. No smell, less you stick your head/nose into the filler tank, can't think why you'd want to do that ??

All the reviews will tell you to buy the diesel, it's faster, more economical, less emissions, better resale value, better torque, smoother ride due to the additional weight. Need I go on ????

Don’t knock it less you have tried it. Give it a look, at least three days should convince you.

:yeahthat: I agree!

I love my diesel!

Don't knock the multijet if you haven't tried it. :nono:

I've been to so many petrol stations and been ushered to petrol only pumps. I always ask if it's diesel now... Attendants look surprised and apologetic. :nerner:

My Dez doesn't smell...
And he averages 60 miles to the gallon around town... :worship:
And I get to beat most cars off the line at traffic lights...

Buy Multijet - Diesel is good! :D

Why don't you just go and try out a Multijet?

You might just be surprised...

And as for the warming up, even in this cold weather, mine is pretty warmed up after about 3 miles of city driving...

lol, I very much doubt it. Even in the summer it will probably take a small engine at least 5 miles to be fully warmed up. In these conditions I would expect the Diesel to take around 10 miles to warm up. Even a normal petrol will take well over 5 miles to warm up in these conditions. It's the engine warming up, not the interior that I'm worried about.

Anyway, I'll probably give it a go. I was very tempted to test one today, but maybe I'll have a go tomorrow.
