I am thinking about buying one of these cars. I read on another forum they were not easy to drive because the pedals were close together. Is this the case?
I was also wondering is there a lock on the the fuel cap?

Only a real problem if you are unusually large footed. The issue isn't so much that they're close together, as that they're offset slightly from the centreline of the driving position. Most of us adapt easily enough; a test drive should be all that is needed to satisfy yourself in this respect.

No locking cap fuel cap as standard on the Panda (though the 500 does have one). You could retrofit something if it really bothers you, but one plus point with the Panda is that it's not really the sort of car that attracts much in the way of unwanted attention. It isn't easy to syphon fuel out of it, as there's an anti syphon device fitted, but if some low life really wants your fuel, they'll probably just stab something sharp through the bottom of the plastic fuel tank, even with a locking cap.

The driving position is worth checking out - as above, pedals are slightly offset and the accelerator is fairly high. Plus the pedals seem to be set fairly well forward. However, I have always been comfortable (it maybe helps that my Eleganza has an adjustable height seat) and I do 4-5 hour drives from time to time with no problem. I only notice the oddness of it if I switch to another car.
