Hi all,

Hope you are all well, and that you maybe able to help lil old me? :)

I got my Panda a few months ago (Eleganza 1.2 04 reg) and noticed the issues with the radio that other people mentioned here. I don't really want to remove it if i can avoid doing so, so I figured a cutoff switch to break the circuit could be a better option.
I noticed on the dash next to the hazard warning light button are 2 blanks (the manual shows 1 is for spot lamps as an optional extra, which i do not have, and the other as a blank. I popped the balning buttons off, and noticed connectors behind both. My question is; are these leading to anything, or are they simply there as a possibility to connect to things, and, if they can be used, can you buy a button that looks/functions like the other buttons there (city mode, fog lights)

Thank you!

press and hold the volume knob in for several seconds, turns it off until you next press the volume knob. Otherwise it powers every time you turn the key.

It is easy to remove the radio with the generic radio removal forks sold on Ebay for about £1.50/set. I did this a few weeks ago to fix my arial.

There will be a power feed to the radio you could tap into switch if you want, but you will have to enter the radio code each time you do this maybe?

Does your radio come on for no reason ? Is that the problem ?

If so - keep a CD in and it will not come on. I had this problem and found the answer on the Punto forum. There was a faulty microswitch
