I have replaced the fuel filter today and noticed the yellow warning light is now on when the engine is running. It stayed on for a 30 minute drive earlier though there is no sign that anything is wrong as the engine power seem normal and the engine sounds to be running smoothly. I did end up as always getting diesel over the filter housing so don't know if that has triggered a sensor somewhere.

Any thoughts on what it could be? There's no sign of fuel leaking out of the filter so I assume the fuel pressure should all be ok.

have you plugged the electrical connector back on securely to top of filter housing

I will double check tomorrow and maybe give the connection a clean. Do you know what the connector controls?

I think the sensor is for water in the filter.

Thought the electrical connecter was for fuel heater in filter?could well b wrong on that!
