Technical o/s/front suspension arm replacement

The wife and I were just discussing that and we will order the other side depending on how well this one goes on, to be a purist I am even going to carry out the measuring before tightening bolts I do agree with changing both sides as one side would be new and one (n/s ) about 5 years old. It would seem every mot it failed on N/S suspension arm.The part I bought took 3 days to arrive from Germany total cost was £48.00 with 24 months warranty.:)

Doing just one side can be false economy.

Generally the other side will fail before long and is likely to scrub the tyres before you realise there's an alignment problem.

Well got 2 arms by Magneti. Marelli -forgive spelling and 2 new pinch bolts, genuine Fiat. The 2 old pinch bolts on the car were a breeze to undo just worked nut backwards and forwards when it got tight.:)The Electric impact wrench undid the Bolts with ease great bit of kit Refited new arms and did the measurement before tightening to correct torque.:)Thanks for all the imput on the subject.(y)

Hello
Can anyone post a diagram or photo of where the 187mm measurement is taken from

Thank you

The rear bush is not affected by suspension angle so fit the bolt and torque it up. For the front, I put the jack under the wheel hub and lifted it until weight came off the nearest chassis stand. Then torqued up the front rubber bush bolt and removed the jack.

Fitting the rear bolt can be a struggle. I fought for ages with my near side bottom arm before I could get the threads aligned. The bolt goes in but the threads can't be found. Perseverance is the key.
