Technical Q: 100hp transmission swap[emoji15]

Hi again,

The best thing to do is give us a call on the club line - 0800 916 1288 - don't forget to mention the FIAT forum to have the club discount applied.

Many thanks,

Dan

Okay buddy will do! I’ve been advised to wait until I’ve passed, apparently no one will insure me at all on a car like my fathers until I pass [emoji28] but I’ll definitely give you guys a call first

If you are a new driver the 100HP is likely to be hugely costly to insure. If you are young it will be even more silly to insure.

You might want to consider the Duologic but choose very carefully. Many are abused an/or used by numpties who have no clue other than steering and brakes.

A bad one will be a money pit.

A good one is great just remember you have a normal clutch and gearbox. Don't let it hold on hills and avoid trickling forwards in traffic queues. That will hammer the clutch.

Surprisingly 100hp isn’t too bad to insure just not Auto so that’s ballsed [emoji23]

And yeah that’s basically the dilemma, seem a few recently pop up and all look abused [emoji28]

Lastly.

Have you driven a Panda? The controls are light. You might find the clutch is no problem.

I’ve actually seen that panda before, and no I haven’t actually but I will soon, partner is determined to get one so I may drive hers from time to time, but as a rule manual is a no go for me

Just found this. It seems to co-exist with the normal pedal clutch. Call them for costs and use with hydraulic clutch.
