Technical Help inserting a photo please
You only need to have 5 posts in order to link to an external image, however anyone can (and we actually prefer that you) attach images either directly in the thread, or through the gallery. Are you on desktop or mobile? If mobile, which platform (ie. browser, iOS or Android)?

Hi I tried that but it says I don't have permission yo view.
Will I need some kind of an App to transfer images from my lap top or phone as I have been trying for some time to make this happen. I have posted photo's etc on other forums and EbaY in the past without much difficulty. However this is a new lap top so it might not have that facility. As you've probably guessed I'm not very computer savvy so I need all the help I can get on the matter.
No, no app needed, and there shouldn't be anything preventing you from uploading images.
I transfer photos from my phone to my Windows 10 laptop for editing/resizing.
Then in a new reply, click on the Attachments paper clip symbol:
This pop-up window will appear:
Click on 'Browse' to select images one at a time
Click on 'Upload' and they will appear as thumbnails at the end of your post.

Further to that. Once you have clicked the upload button, and waited for the images to actually upload, if you go back to that first page and click the paperclip again it'll come up with a wee box "Manage attachments" and listed underneath are the images you've uploaded. If you want to insert an image into your text first click your cursor to the position in the text where you want it to be placed and then click on the paper clip and then, when the wee box appears, click on the attachment you want to appear there. It will appear in your text but not as an actual image until you submit the post. However if you click "Preview Post" you can then view it as it will appear when submitted complete with the actual image.

I have been getting rather a lot of this recently and have several times to log in and back again. Also refusal to allow typing a reply to mails. I think its my I-tis again.
Thank's to everyone I did manage it eventually. Weather I'll be able to do it again is another matter.
