Hi, the family is getting into biking in a big way.

I'm thinking whether the Panda is capable of carrying four bikes?

2 frog kids bikes and two adult sized bikes. Anyone done this?

I regularly carry 2 adult bikes on my Panda. Have a pair of roof carriers mounted on roof rails, one either side of the car. Could possibly be combined with a rear rack??

I have a vintage Raleigh Twenty foldable and the two people I go riding with have Bromptons we put all three in the back.

Mine doesn't fold as well as the Brompton. So have to loose one seat. I recon you could get 4 Bromptons in the boot.

I had three adult bikes on top before..



Not sure you could mount four. Perhaps do the three and then tie one of the kids bikes to an adult one? You'll have to be careful about the total weight though.

Which bars and the rack? Can I use any horizontal bars or is it fiat specific?

That's normal Fiat bars, two Thule mounts and some cheap mount that I was given in middle (pointing backwards). Wasn't too tight.

Somebody is selling a set up similar to this in the classified adds.
Nothing to do with me but thought you might like to know.

Fit a tow bar for under £100 and use a tow ball bicycle carrier. That will easily cope with four bikes but won't handle a trailer as well.
