An unusual description. get your head under the dash and take a good look at the steering column and pedals. Possible that there might be some wiring fouling perhaps? Look for any conflicts.
At the last service the mechanic changed one of the injectors because he said it was leaking petrol. When I cleaned them last week I noticed that the new one has only one nozzle, the others have six; is that likely to be significant?
Hot weather - car is being a pig! Had to put the hazards on today while at a junction while the car farted and stuttered and did not have enough power to move away! After about a minute off she went like shyte off a shovel! Now that the UK weather has cooled down the car is running very well. Wondering about fuel boil off or some other fuel related cause. Any thoughts?
Why can I not find an answer here to this question: "Why does my Panda Classic '61 reg misfire, only when it's very hot?" Surely other folks must have had the same fault. :worship:
That should have said 2011!Cool today with light rain: No trouble with the car! I wrote to the auther of MultiECUScan about my inability to 'Connect' to the car. He's suggested that as my car was first registered in 2001.
Thanks for update.Just in case anyone want's to know I've sorted my Panda problem. I bought a used petrol injector of the correct type, (orange colour band, multi-jet ) and now all seems hunky dory.
I will be having a quiet word with my tame mechanic! Although he changed one injector last November and fitted the wrong type, (colour code blue, single jet) the engine only played up when the weather got hot.
In my mind :chin: I imagine the engine management system detecting an incorrect mixture and then affecting all of the injectors.
