I have a 2011 vintage panda which has had a hard life

the ABS light is now on

Will a normal code reader get the codes or do i need a one just for fiats and/or ABS

Can you get it to flash lights at you which can be decoded to tell you the fault?

I haven't had the wheels off yet so haven't looked to see if anything is hanging off but it did make a bit of a grindy noise this morning from the back end but i could not see anything out of the ordinary

If by "normal" you mean a basic OBD reader, they normally only talk to the engine ECU.
MultiECUScan and the correct cable(s) can read the body control and other modules.

I don't think so, but someone else on here may know different.

:yeahthat:
Multiecuscan (MES www.multiecuscan.net) will give you much more information. €50 for software and £30 for a ELM 327 and adaptor, like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152482402020? will soon pay for itself. Do a search for it on here. Or you could park the moggie on it that will stop it moving

If back brakes made a graunching noise I would be keener to investigate this as the next stop could be caused by a locked wheel
multiecuscanil would be ideal but I'm sure my launch crp129 can do it too but check before committing

I doudt if it will pay for itself as i doudt if we are keeping the car much longer and it has been epically reliable since we got it

Buy it, use it, sell it on here when you move to another manufacturer and you'll get back at least 50% of the costs.

Bearing in mind one ECU interrogation at a garage will be from £50 you've nothing to lose.
