Today I finally fitted a short shifter to my 100HP and it's fantastic! The MTech short shifter is expensive I know but if your willing to spend £120 its worth it. As a result you get a much shorter throw, a tighter feel and a heavier change, it really is the classic term of feeling like a Lee-Enfield rifle bolt action.

But... There is a but... Fitting it is going to be fiddly if you haven't removed your shocks for whatever reason or if you have large hands as you don't have a great deal of space getting to the shifter or working around it. One thing you will face is at the start of the fitting process which is popping off the ball joint in order to fit this kit, this was a head scratcher for me after a few failed tries (when I say a few I mean 3 hours worth of tries) until I took a long pry bar and twisted against the ball joint to which it came away easily, so ignore what MTech says in their fitting instructions... And from there it's an easy fitting process looking through the instructions. So yes you will get a few scuffs on your arms and you'll probably swear at it at some point but the rewards of a great gear change means its so worth it!

haha....ive gotta take my shocker out at some point as i wanna try my Prosport Coilovers to see if they will fit the 100HP (don't see why they wont) and also i have to fit my strut brace now the weather is getting better. And ive also held this job off as part of the shocker is blocking one of the mounting holes, both sides....typical ain't it

That's going make the job so much easier for you, was one of those jobs I never thought of doing when my shocks were off... Haha

found this .....i like the anti roll bar.....:worship:

the translation for the anit roll bar bit is below....
DNA-Racing adjustable anti-roll bar for the rear Fiat Panda 2.
The standard anti-roll bar is very soft. This is what created the understeer wegliging not beneficial. This kit makes it possible to adjust the stiffness of the system is desired in which the position of the vehicle will be much flatter. In addition, the vehicle will change clear more rapidly from the direction, with an increase of up to 100%. The torsion rod can be adjusted and makes it possible to adjust the degree of understeer, depending on the driving style.
The kit consists of a torsion bar made of special spring steel, adjustable in 3 steps and two sets of stainless steel tie rods mounted on uniballs.
Materials: Silicon spring steel.
Finishing: Powder coated heavy duty epoxy paint in the metallic gray.
Weight: 4.40 kg.
100% MADE IN ITALY.

nitemare with my front coilovers...the guy who put them on for me used air tools....can't undo them using spanner and allen key in the top....don't ya hate mechanics who use air tools for everything with a nut and bolt :bang:
gotta buy an air compressor any way soon so looks like i'll be getting them off one way or another

That sentence makes no sense whatsoever. How do you measure the change of direction, and even apportion a percentage of increase against it?

What does 100% increase even mean? The car changes direction instantly, like those bikes from Tron?

Ridiculous.

DNA Racing adjustable stabiliser torsion bar for the rear.

The factory fitted torsionbar is very soft. This creates understeer and is bad for the handling of the car.
This kit has an adjustable stiffnes that reduces the rolling of the car. The vehicle will feel directer when changing direction.
This direct feeling can increase up to 100%. By adjusting the stiffness the understeer is adjustable as well depending on your drivingstyle.

I'm pretty fluent in Dutch, but even for me it's pretty unclear what they claim.
By making the rearaxle stiffer (pretty stiff in a 100HP IMHO) they want to eliminat understeer...

I've previously fitted the Neuf short shifter adapter in my 100hp.

Slightly different to whats in this thread as its fitted just below the actual gear stick. It's a 500 part but fits the panda.

Shown nicely in this video (not mine):

Going back to the rear torsion bar from DNA Racing, it hangs down just a little but too far for my liking...

Their strut brace for the Panda looks like it's worth looking at!

Get a 600mm breaker bar (and some impact spec sockets) or go one better with an 18V impact wrench.

That looks pretty but pointless on a road Panda. The strut top mounts are too close to the firewall to flex under road conditions.

An anti roll bar will reduce body roll it might not make the car steer any better because it reduces grip on the inside wheel. It will "feel" better though.

One thing I never really felt in my 80,000 miles in a 100HP was under-steer unless using FULL power on a wet roundabout, and an anti roll bar would not help that much. The 100 hardly needs stiffer suspension does it?
