My front brake discs and pads are due a change. Anyone recommend any brand in particular? I don't think that the Fiat ones are much use as they lasted no time at all. The last set which were non-Fiat have lasted around 60K miles. I have no idea as to their brand though...

Last time round I fitted Pagid discs & pads to my 1.2. Well made, fit perfectly & finished with a dry metallised protective coating that means you don't need to degrease the discs before fitting. Been in service for about 25k now without issues.

Good compromise between price and ultimate performance, and way better than the OEM parts.

Agree - Pagid.

My OEM pads were oversize and the backing metal was poorly finished! They wedged in place after each brake application and did not release properly. So I removed them, ground them to size and refitted them (plenty of life in them and good braking).

The bonus is seen in my fuel consumption. I am now getting an extra 5 or 6 mpg!

Now have a spare Pagid set ready for replacement when these finally wear out.

I was toying between Brembo and Pagid. Prices are virtually the same for both. But that's two votes for Pagid.

We fitted Brembo disks and pads on my son's 1.2. It was offer time at Eurocarparts and the price difference with Pagid/Brembo was about nothing.

I doubt one is better than the other at the better end of the scale.

Bought Brembo on offer from EuroCarParts for £70 which I thought was a good enough price.

I'm on front discs and rear drums. I didn't buy Fiat discs and pads simply due to them not being that good in my opinion. I'm wary of buying that type of thing from eBay as there are some sellers who pass some inferior products off as the real thing. Not the type of thing you want to fail!
