Has anyone ever recovered their headlining with new material?
Mine has a few scuffs at the boot end where the last owner has used the car as a van!
For around £37 I can buy the material and adhesive from eBay. I fancy doing it in dark grey.

Check out the breakers. They probably never get asked for headlinings so may well sell one cheap.

I had an old Corsa briefly last year that stunk of smoke and the entire of the interior was just smoke stained almost... this should definitely reduce a cars value!!!

I'd love a dark headlining too, so if you do a DIY job post some pics?

I noticed in Mercedes and expensive cars the headlining matches the interior, such a subtle but great improvement in the cabins ambience.

I was looking at the latter one on eBay. There was a black brushed nylon aswell which with my black and blue seats would look well.
I've watched videos on you tube on how to do it but it doesn't show you how to do the rise and fall of the headlining and the bulges like a panda has where the interior light and sun visors are on the panda. I'm afraid of getting creases in it.

I think this is where a stretchy but dense fabric comes into play to mould over the bulges. The lining would have to come out of the car.

A padded fabric can be cut with a very sharp knife and butt jointed. Not easy but not impossible. Maybe an upholsterer or car trimmer would be the best person to ask.
