Hi.

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out. The front and rear right hand side lights have stopped working on my Fiat Panda 2007 MultiJet. I initially tried replacing the bulbs - but this hasn't worked. So I looked for the fuse - but oddly they don't seem to be fused. Is there anything obvious that could be causing the problem?

Many thanks for any help you can offer.

Have you checked the connections for corrosion? They sometimes need a bit of a cleanup (especially the rear ones).

Both the front and rear have gone at the same time so wouldn't that be less likely? I'll have a look at the wiring tho. According to the manual they go through the body control unit - so perhaps that's what needs replacing - but that sounds very expensive and I assume can only be done by fiat?

Sounds like a fuse - there must be one?. Look at the fuse box inside the car (below the steering wheel/above the throttle pedal)... and the one under the bonnet (by the battery) there are not many 'small ones' in there , so take each out in turn and look to see if any are failed. The manual seems to miss out mention of a lot of things that must be fuse-protected (wipers, for example?)

The guy's right, they are not fused and feed direct from the body module (part of the interior fusebox). Check the connections to that - bit of a PITA as it is part riveted in - and if it is faulty it may be possible to have it repaired by someone such as ACtronics.

Thanks. I'll check the connections - and then take it to a vehicle electrician if I have no joy.

My front lights stopped working when I fitted LED rear bulbs! Replaced the standard bulbs and all is well, it could be due to a resistance problem..

I need bigger brighter lights, I'm still paranoid about driving the 100HP, yesterday we nearly got wiped out by a Disco who straight-lined a change of lane at the Basingstoke roadworks and in Reading we got rear-ended by a Merc. Luckily without damage.

Had I been driving the GTA, it wouldn't have happened as other cars keep clear - something to do with the noise and general threatening appearance.
