Planning to drain a 2006 1.1 Panda manual gearbox. What is the size of the female hex filler and drain plugs.
Is this a straightforward job?

engine sump is 12mm HEX,

think the g-box are smaller 10mm HEX,

topped up many.. never drained one though..,

I have attached the full set of instructions for the 1.1 Panda as found on the eLearn system. (The official Fiat set of instructions and procedures used by dealers) Hope this helps.

That is great, but it does not say what size the Allen gearbox filler and drain bolts are? Any ideas?

metric - no bigger than 12mm hex

Little bit of advice that was passed on to me, make sure you can undo the filler plug before you undo the drain plug in case you can't then refill it.

Very true. I leant the hard way 40 years ago on the diff of an Austin A40. Ever since then filler plug off first, then drain plug!
