I've noticed that there's a few of us on here which have passed the 100,000 mile mark. Just thought I would start a wee thread to guage how many high milers we have and which models.

I have a 2005 Multijet with 106K miles on the clock.

I was messing about on the MOT history site and came across a 2010 Panda 1.1 with 180k on the clock! Mine is the same age and on 22k! I feel sorry for the driver of that car.

As mentioned in other post, 2007 MJ with just over 104K on the clock from new.
Just replaced clutch at 102K, track rods, droplinks and water pump at about 40K, rear exhaust box at about 40K. It's had a couple of sets of brake pads and one set of rear shoes + cylinders.
Only sore point is front tyres - lucky to get 10,000 miles from a pair and trackings been done several times!

And I've got an MJ with just a few thou miles less than Wee Surf. Bought it used, and in my ownership I've replaced the crummy cocoa tin back box with a Polyzhaust box which will never rust. Nice burble too. Great car so far.

My MB is a youngster with just under 160k miles. This is very small beer for these motors - ask a taxi driver. Plenty of diesel Mercs running fine with 300-500k miles clocked. One MB Viano on the forum I also inhabit with 1.1million so far.

Way to go, Wee Smurf!

I have 2004 1.2 8v with 130,000 miles. It's been practically rebuild! It drives better than my other car with 40,000 miles on the clock! ?

With the timing chain issue I had a couple of years ago, I practically had an engine rebuild. It's run better than it ever did since. :D

I too changed my clutch at around 92K miles. Couldn't live with the slip.

I don't have the same trouble as you with front tyre wear though. I'd get at least double that from mine. What brand of tyres are you on? I'm running Michelin Energy on 13 inch alloys in the summer and Michelin Alpins on original steels in the winter. Also what pressure do you run with? I have a TyrePal and set the pressure to 2.2 bar on the front and 1.8 bar at the back at home with cold tyres. Pressures can change a bit as the tyres warm up and can drop a bit when the weather drops a few degrees. With the TyrePal I can keep an eye on things and adjust as necessary.

My Panda Dez still has the original back box. It's fairly crusty looking but I still haven't had any advisories for it. I'm surprised it has lasted this long as it had a coating of rust fairly early on (I've owned mine from new).

My dad had a Volvo 940 which had 350K miles on the clock when he parted with it. I don't think that Dez will make it that far, but he might surprise me!

Mine started to slip when I added a cheapie tuning box mid-40k's, but never actually got any worse - still drove quite normally except for a bit of slip on heavy acceleration. Just thought I'd better change it before it went altogether.

As it happened, the actual driven plate was only half worn, but the centre of the pressure plate fingers was getting quite thin.

Tyres are always set at 2.2 bar/ 32psi, and always run off hard on the inner edges. First change was Conti's again, then dropped onto various cheap brands as they lasted just as long :(

I had the inside wear on the first set of front tyres I had back in 2005. I took the car and got 4 wheel laser alignment done. It needed a good bit of adjustment, but thankfully that was the end of that for me. I bought new winter tyres last year and they barely have any wear on any of them.

2005 Multijet diesel 163k miles ( there's def at least one other diesel with higher mileage here in Ireland and saw a custard 1.1 advertised with 283k km /175k miles just now )

There used to be another chap from the south on here with a Multijet Panda with a load of miles on it (BJ20), but he hasn't been on for a couple of years now I reckon. The last I remember his Panda was due NCT and he wasn't so hopeful that it would pass. Perhaps it didn't. :(

Back in 2010 when we went to pick up our 1.1 Active from the dealer, we did the usual thing of hiding our trade in as far back in the rear compound as we could.

Next to where I parked it was a early, dark blue 1.2 Dymanic.
It caught my eye as it looked a very sorry for it's self and exactly the same year, colour and model as my sisters.
Her in doors was a bit taken aback ours might soon end up like this!

Joking with the salewoman, she mentioned originally selling it back in 2004 and the first she saw the owner again was the week before when he came in to trade up for another Panda.

Inside it was totally shot through, but just from the driving postion.
The drivers seat cover had worn through, mat and carpet worn completely through to the metal, the steering wheel, gear lever and gaiter looked rotten.
It also looked like it had never been cleaned, inside or out, but it was clear to see the rears and passenger seats were untouched.

The salewoman worked out it had averaged 130 miles a day for 6 years!

They didn't get or could find any record of servicing and all the owner passed them was a couple of MOT certificates, which seemed to back up the mileage.

She mentioned the workshop manager reckoned it just needed a back box to get another MOT and one of their trainees had his eye on it.

Me and the Mrs joked as we jumped into our new (3 year old) Panda, hoping to get the same out of it, that is until the first bump in the road and we noticed the knackered rear shock bush!

Everytime I see I dark blue one now, I kind of hope it's that one!

That's pushing nearly 300k miles!
'Bout time it had an oil change.

User 'notsmartcars' from Devon is the current mileage champ round here anyway @ 185k miles .Anyone beat that ?

A story to make a Panda lover misty eyed ...Almost makes me want to swap my MJ for a 1.2 ...and yet the suspension Achilles Heel sting in the tail/tale at the end ( Was the 3 year old a diesel? )
