General High mileage Pandas (at least 100K miles on the clock)

General High mileage Pandas (at least 100K miles on the clock)

The 100HP I went to buy had 96K on the clock and was in generally good condition. The issue were (almost) all service-related. Clutch was on the floor, cam belt had no history and the back axle was like the Titanic's guard rail.

The latter was neglect but the rest was just running it cheap. A common issue on older cars. It was worth £1000. Not the £2K wanted by the seller. Not necessarily a bad car, but you have to watch what you are getting for the money.

My neighbours Panda multi jet which he bought new, it is a 55 plate, has now covered over 230,000 miles and he still uses it daily.

It has had only 1 breakdown at 175,000 miles when the alternator gave up the struggle when he was in Newcastle, I Live in North Lincolnshire and he did that trip at least once a week when he used the car for work.

Looking at it you would never know as it is great condition with the bodywork is close to immaculate.

Forgot to update. Mine now has reached the 150K mark.

Mines at 147,000 .... who knows with going to Omagh and Coleraine every week I could well catch up to your urban Belfast mileage [emoji6]

Meant to post, had the Panda up at IKEA last week got three of us and two big office chairs down - no bother getting up that motorway incljne on the way back

Lol. Urban mileage! More like kid mileage! And I have to go to Galway next weekend so that'll be another quick almost 500 miles.

Just hit 222222 miles on 2010 plate Panda Eco 1.1 and also been in the Faroes Islands last year - still never broken down since new! The moon is only 225,622 miles away!!not long now - took a little bit longer than Apollo space rockets back in the 60's

Hi Loftus. Some mileage. Where do you get the ferry from for Faroes? It's on my bucket list. Bet the weather was changeable.

Excellent work and goes to show that 100K is just a number.

All you need for the moon is five F1s. ;)

wow congrats !!!

That's exactly same car as my Panda 1.1 Eco.

My Panda Eco 1.1 has done 61K miles and 10 years old.
It has never broken down since new too, but had to put in new clutch last week.

For those with multijets how many of you have changed the timing chain? I'm uptown 146k and not changed it yet.

I did and regretted it less than a year later when the guides failed. Survived that, but was rather costly as I ended up paying for it twice. That was 70K miles ago. My Panda is getting rusty now so it'll not be getting anything much done. Think I'd be better putting money towards a new car.

I should add that the mechanic I used (a Fiat - Alfa specialist) had advised the change. Wish I never listened to him as he let me down badly. Only change if it's noisy.

This is amazing. Is this the highest Panda now then? I remember earlier in the thread there was a 200k+ 100HP and that was some time ago.
By contrast, my mams identical looking 2010 1.1 Eco is probably on about 25k hehe.
