Hi all,

The first of a number of 'ask the hivemind' questions I am sure.

56 plate 4x4. Unless the clutch is feathered more finely than a budgie's bottom there is an audible 'clunk' from under the car when changing up from first to second - almost as if something is shifting underneath. It doesn't feel like it's coming from the gearbox and as it is only in the lowest gear change (with the highest torque) I'm assuming it's axle or suspension related? The car can be a bit thumpy over broken paving as well.

So, am I off to source some replacement shocks and bushes? Or is this noise likely something else entirely and a quirk of the vehicle?

Thanks in advance!
