Hi,

Am looking to buy my first car, but most of the automatic pandas I see (used ) do not have height adjustable seats! I am really short (under 5ft) and when I sat in my instructors car etc, had the seat up at the highest and quite far forward. I really want to avoid sitting on a cushion again!

In the pandas with fixed height seats, is the fixed seat position relatively low down, or high up, or would you prefer it to be slightly higher or lower? Do you get a higher position in the cars with adjustable seat cushions?

I don't know if that makes sense! But hope to see what others think before I go have a look next week.

Thanks!

I have the height adjustable seat. It doesn't exactly height adjust per se. It tilts rather than anything else. The front end is fixed while the back end tilts up and down.

I'm a bit of a shortie myself at 5' 2" and I don't actually keep my seat at the highest position. I don't feel I need to. The driving position in the Panda is actually quite good for those of us lacking in the height department without needing to shift the seat up. You can get a great all round view from the normal driving position. I actually have my seat slightly lowered which I find better for my bad back, lol. If you can only get a Dualogic Panda without the height adjustment, I'd say to still go for it. (y)

Although I am not particularly short, I have been used to driving larger machinery where I get a commanding view, so I have raised the front of my Panda seat by inserting a spacer where the seat bolts to the floor.
For me, this feels more comfortable out of habit really, but other users have not found such a mod necessary.
If you decide to go this route, the job needs to be done properly to maintain the integrity of the seat anchorage.
