I have owned my little mistress for 24 hrs and I now need some advice

It has done 64k and I want to service her and change timing belt, im in Enfield, are there nay specialists or would any garage do? Ie my regular one is good but does every make of car.....
I read it must be selenia, if so what type?

how much should I pay for a full service and cambelt?

It's not that complicated but If you take it to FIAT you dont have to worry about anything.

I'd say Cam belt waterpump and service should be 300+ at fiat.

The thing with Independents is they might use the cheapest waterpump plus the wrong coolant and whatever oil they put in everything. Your belt also should be changed with a locking tool and they might just get out the tippex. I was being lazy and took my old panda to a good independant and a few weeks later i checked the coolant and it was bright blue where theyd used 2year stuff.

Are you sure the belt hasnt been done? is there any history?

cant find any proof that it was done, was serviced 12 months ago

Some places put a sticker on the cam belt cover. If you can't find the proof you probably should do it.

To answer your previous question, you dont need selenia just same spec. any decent 5w40 full synthetic will do.

for the coolant its RED OAT. Halfords or euro car parts sell their own brands. Again if you want to use the FIAT stuff its all good but i really dont think its needed to go out of your way for.

Try Desira barnet, they shouold be able to sort the cambelt and waterpump for around £300

Could be worse.... Fiat dealer in Exeter charged my mother in law just under a grand for a cambelt/waterpump and service on her M/Jet punto.

There are two very good Fiat indies, but they are in South London.
Firela Motors
Gonnella Brothers

They might be worth a ring, you can always have a day out in London while they are doing the work.

Gonnella's are brilliant (right next to the train station too) and are looking after both our new Pandas, both local Fiat dealers are feckwits and don't even know they require 18k/24 month service intervals!
