Hi everyone!

Just bought an Amazon Basics 12v splitter for powering my phone and my satnav from my panda, but either the connector is too small, or the socket is too big. The splitter wobbles about and looks as if it's sticking out too far

Has anyone else had this issue/experienced this? My socket is flush on the inside, and I'm not sure if there's an insert missing....

Thanks in advance!

Hi There,

Just checked in mine and there is no insert, and im sure my previous panda didnt have one either.

I think that cig lighter adaptors in my experience are never to a standard size, ive had a few that im always having to adjust and some that just fit snug.

I'ts a shame for you but id return it and get another. The one im currently using for the last year was from poundland! 2 adaptors and a usb. The usb is rubbish but the rest works well.

Mine has a socket but no lighter, that is until I managed to appropriate one from another car. But there do seem to be two different lengths of lighter and the FIAT type is the shorter of the two, the upshot of this being that if used as a lighter it will tend to pop out before it's at the right temperature and it will also wobble around.

If there are no internals to it I would think you'll probably have to buy a new one, but I don't know if there the socket is pre-wired
