Sun-visor found and fitted, Haynes manual arrived, and after much reading of text and wiring diagrams re-fault on Drivers side electric windows, looks as if it's the 'oh bugger' Body Control Module fuse / relay Box, now according to various posts on this subject the module does not usually stop one side of the electric windows working, now I'm thinking (hoping) that we might have a dry joint or similar here, so tomorrow I shall have a good look at the offending article, if I am wrong then I am thinking that I may as well make a completely separate harness for that window with it's own fuses and relays etc.
Any constructive comments would be appreciated.
Looks like I have found why the car was a good bit cheaper than they normally are.

Don't assume the most expensive bit is the culprit.
Window regulators themselves are quite likely, as they do all the work.
The wiring connection from car to door is vulnerable, flexing every time the door is opened, so inner door panel off, check power supply is getting through. Check if regulator is stiff, broken, etc.

Thanks for that I did not know what it was called but it could be in that area in fact that's exactly what my mate suggested, and I had to check to see if power was getting through to the winder motor (regulator) right hand side in stock Europarts

Just an update on how things went today, no power at all getting to winder motor, tried moving harness this way and that whilst pressing wiper button no reading at all on meter, as a last resort had a go at hot-wiring straight to winder motor no reaction at all presume motor is open circuit, all previous thoughts about repair have gone out the window (no pun intended) thoughts now heading to changing drivers side to manual, anybody have any experience of this.
I seem to think that non of the mk2 Pandas had manual front windows, so therefore the proposal is to fit a rear manual winder and hopefully put this problem to bed. It appears that the drivers door has all the holes drilled.

Lots had manual windows, you'll need to search the scrappies and collect the regulator, all its fittings and the handle and its clip. Removing from another car will show you how it all fits.

Door panel with manual windows will have a hole for the winder. When you find one at the scrappy you'll be able to see if it is possible to make a hole in your own panel, or not. There are quite a few panels listed for different models, but no detail given of their differences, so it will be up to you to play spot the difference. Hopefully same colour and you can take the panel too. Or just take it as a template for your own to assist in cutting holes.

Haynes window wiring diagram attached.
Ign switch powers fuse 35, which feeds the two window switches. These apparently then send power to the body ECU, as a request to operate the window up or down.
ECU sends power to the motor, either way, according to up or down request. I'm not sure what the earth connection at the switches is for.

Start at the switch. (There's a guide somewhere about removing gear lever I think, that'll get you at the switches.) Check power to the switch, then power out either way. ECU will not operate motor is switch is not asking.

Hi against all my dark thoughts re-window not being able to be fixed on the Panda, today I sat with the door open and despite all that made sense ie. no power showing on feed to motor, I decided to take the motor apart just the 3 torx bolts out, motor was nice and free no signs of seizure, I then plug the feed back in, ignition on, press the button and beggar me it worked in both directions, so put all back together and now all is working very very well.
One of life's mysteries I suppose.
