You have spoken sacrilege on this site.........you are doomed!
Mk1 = original square one with metal grille and leaf-spring suspension. Beautiful machine.
Mk2 = Like Mk1 but with plastic grille and flared rear arches and other junk
Mk3 = 2003 on classic beauty like yours
Mk4 = bland jelly mould with hideous interior designed, presumably, by Perfect Curve, who mockingly helped us to enjoy the Jubilympics and the new BBC 'app' look, in 2012 and W1A respectively.
I still liked your post... -- even though I think the Mk4 is extremely well-designed; and there is definitely no junk attached to a Mk2 (I have three of them: so I'd know...!); and there were some Mk1s with plastic grilles, I believe...!
I owned a couple of 1984 Mk1 cars in the late 1980s when you could buy them for pennies at the local block. Absolutely and unequivocally the best car ever designed by Giugiaro.
Well let me ask the worst question ever!
Standby....
What Is the difference between the Mk2 and Mk3.
To me The Mk1 is the square one, no offence!
We have a Mk2, and the new one is the Mk3 or have I missed something.
Do the big mirrors really count?
Educate me please
£15k for a Panda !? That's a lot of money for what a Panda really is. You can pick up a brand new Fiesta ST (from a broker) for just under 15 grand...that's a lot more car (and performance) for your money. It has grown on me, however I would find it hard to choose from the hideous colours available. That and the fact that when I configured one with the options I have on my own Panda, it came to £15k which is an awful lot more than I paid for mine new in 2005 (£8500).
Yeah I'm a sucker for optional extras! I went a bit overboard with options when I had the chance. Lol
If you're not planning on ever getting rid of it I can't blame you tbh.
