Hi,

I'm wanting to fit a dash cam to my 2009 1.1 active eco and the unit I want to fit is best run from an ignition switched supply.

Can anyone suggest where I can take 12v from without affecting the canbus or ECU.

The dash cam in question would only take low current similar to a satnav or 'phone charger.

:yeahthat: although I suspect not fitted as an active, if this is the case take the feed direct from the ignition switch

thanks for that fellas, You're right, there isn't a lighter socket on this model, but I did find the cable under the centre panel. But this wasn't live, so it'll have to be off the ignition switch.

What MEP said. Indeed, most of the 1.1 active ecos that I've seen don't even have the wiring for the standard 12v socket. I know mine doesn't.
