I can see Demi's points and that of others including the mods, for what its worth I don't think the HP needs a section of its own as its not special enough and there is plenty of crossover with other models in the range that makes help and info relevant across all the various models and specs....there seems to be a bit of a clash of personality between a couple of members that happens on any forum with any subject, however there are some members here that even with a cursory search of the internet are serial trouble makers, what is done about that is why we have forum moderators.

The problem is Demi and his inability to tolerate any opinion which differs from his or isn't glowingly positive to a mod on a 100hp.

17" wheels on a Panda, he went off his nuts when some people didn't like the look of it.
Plate in a window (which is illegal!) he called me a c**t for saying that the person was a plonker and I hope they got caught, then he wished that I got a chip on my car!!!!!!
This thread...... someone dared say that FK dampers are cheap for a reason and he's off talking about hatters and how the opinions of others are irrelevant because they don't own a Panda with the exact same engine and suspension spec. Then he accused me of threatening him!

I'm no big fan of captainslarty (I'm sure that much is obvious), but Demi's behaviour is inexcusable and extremely atypical of what you tend to find here in the Panda section.

All I ask is that Demi stop jumping on every post he doesn't like and starts accepting that others are allowed to like or dislike what someone has done as long as it's done in what would generally be considered by most (not Demi himself) as a respectful manner.

Here's my lightly modded (just different wheels :p ) Panda 4x4, if you don't like it then I'm not bothered! I like it and the wife who drives in 95% of the time likes it too.

Maxi, why dont you follow my post history! Like I did with yours. You tent to say a lot of negative stuff about others ways and mods. Which is fine, but you wouldnt find me doing that. I only jumped on you for your lack of respect towards few OPs. Where you called someone an idiot out right for having something different. Or plonker, or some other... It wasnt first or second or even third time instead of constructive criticism you go in outright name calling. Or in my case make fun out of my spelling... But when some one is pointing out to you that you are being way too harsh towards some one you dont even know you twist it around every time. Treat ppl the way you want to be treated.

As for Cantain... just put his nick name in Google (as some one pointed out to me) and see all the other forums he pops up with a "banned" under his name. Enough said!

What can you say constructively about someone putting the plate in their windscreen?

"Gr8 mod m8, I'm guessin this wud be a gr8 way to avoid ANPR cameras and average speed cameras and attract Police attention"

There is literally nothing I could say that is nice about this mod.

Putting overly cheap dampers on a car is completely against what I would normally do myself, I can see no reason why on a car which is renowned for its handling and which still hasn't fallen to £500 price levels, you would fit the cheapest suspension bits that you can find. You yourself pointed out that you can get Koni's for 42 pounds each for the rear. For most people the difference between FK's on the rear end or Koni's is a night out on the town.

You seem to have disrespectful and negative confused.

I actually said that having plate on a window could get him pulled and could end up costing him in fine! As you can see I did not called him plonker.

call me bored, but 2 pages in to ur post history:

plantpot50 - I appreciate your knowledge Maxi and I know from your posts that you make are invaluable to the forum, but I find some comments generally on here a little abrupt. The OP's wheels or car might not be to everyones taste but I think comments like 'what a total mess' are not really that constructive!
You are right in what you say though, 'if the OP likes it then that's all that matters'.

Mooresey - That's fair enough. Like you say comments will be posted. And everyone is entitled to there opinion, but someone saying it looks a total mess isn't the best of comments even if you don't like it.

scout - No, you made your point (quite forcibly) and should have left it at that. The other posters were not going to agree with you so why waste your 'breath'. To get into an argument is pointless and doesn't achieve anything.

Thats three ppl pointing out the problem which I've been trying to point to you too. I mean, really when are you going to see it? I can go on, there are more pages, this is only from ur first 2 pages of ur resent history. Not trying to be an ass here but trying to help you improve your relation with members here (maybe not in a best way, but thats the only way I can think of, again Im not very PC)

I dont have a Panda anymore but I do think the 100HP needs its own section. This has got nothing to do with the car but more to do with the owners. With the 100HP prices falling young lads (and lasses) are buying the majority of the cars. The vast majority of regular Panda owners are not interested in the Max Power (or whatever you call it these days) world but young people are. I think this would not only benefit 100HP owners but it would also benefit regular Panda owners. The Panda section is just full of 100HP threads and the others are just getting lost.

and two of those posts don't even refer to comments I've made! The third does relate to my comment, but people were (non intentionally) spreading BS about so I made my point that there is no Mk1, Mk2 or Mk3 500.

FMP, I see your point, but I think if the one person who seems confrontational stopped being quite so confrontational then it would start being a far nicer place for all. I've been a contributor in the Panda forum since I joined back in 2008 and never really had problems in here till relatively recently. The vast majority of people with 100hp's actually don't seem bothered if someone doesn't like their choice of wheels or what they've done to their lights or whatever, it just seems one person turns it into a confrontation almost every single time.

I know what you are saying Maxi. Personally I dont like the vast majority of modifications that people are now doing to the 100HP. I think they ruin and cheapen the car that was so sorted from the factory. However I dont bother commenting (the young lad with the Abarth 500 exhaust for example) on the posts because its irrelevant what I think. Unless its something illegal like the number plate I will leave it. With more and more people buying 100HPs and adding "youth" mods owners are just going to clash more and more.

Yes, thank you for understanding.

No one has a problem with you, just with some things you say or how you say it to be precise. And as many pointed out you do contribute a lot to FF. I dont doubt it for a second. But because u dont see some 100HP ppl be bothered dont mean they are not, I saw few ppl comment on what you said, on other fan pages/groups, not FF. Last year, hence I got involved. They just dont say it as they dont want to get into, what you and me being doing so far.

:bang:

The person that is confrontational is you Demi. Every time something like this happens it annoys one of more person (tnaig in this case) and discourages them from coming back. Tnaig didn't express any unhappiness at my suggestion that he should get Koni's rather than FK dampers.....

Plenty of people dislike your attitude and also don't say anything about it, the fact that Custard has become involved and suggested that you modify your behaviour should suggest something to you.

Perhaps it's the nuances of the English language, but you seem to take offence at any opportunity and lash out in a disproportionate manner.

Helpful people are helpful people regardless of what car they drive, you obviously are NOT an idiot and do know a thing or two about cars, does this mean that if someone drives a Clio or a Fiat 500 or a Mercedes C class that your experience is worthless? Of course not! So why treat me like I know nothing about a 100hp just because I don't have one outside on the driveway? My 500 suffers from all the same issues that the 100hp does, lack of rear suspension travel and rear springs and dampers that aren't quite right for each other. A 100hp or a 500 on proper dampers and springs is a true joy, that's why I suggested that the OP stay in one Friday night and spend the extra money on some Koni's.

It just frustrates me that you can't chill out a bit and accept that some people are going to like things that others do to their cars and some others aren't. I suspect if we were sat across a table from each other we'd probably be absolutely fine, but you seem to take everything that might be negative, as an attack on the 100hp or its owner and this simply isn't the case.

Could the mods lock this thread at its now irrelevant to the reason I posted.:bang:

Each to their own.

Ordinarily i'd agree but i'm afraid that this needs to be sorted out and unfortunately its on your thread for which i'm sorry, please don't be put off by all this arguing because it'll calm down very soon.

My feelings too, I do sincerely apologise to tnaig for his thread being taken in this direction also......

To those reporting posts.
Just so you understand my views on this.
When you are dishing it out, dont expect your report to be viewed on its own.
So make a choice. Dont get involved, report the post & then await the moderation teams decision.
If you continue to interact and argue the point of the post you reported. Why would there be any action?

I must say that I would be in agreement with FullMetalPanda on this one. I am merely the owner of a Multijet Panda and I personally have no interest in things to make the 100HP go faster, look different nor in car mods in general. I am more interested in assisting (where I can) or being helped with general Panda queries / problems.

I've been on here since 2005 and the majority of "issues" in my time have occurred between those who have run of the mill Pandas and those who like to go that bit faster. There seems to be a bit of disagreement in views on what looks good, etc. I personally tend to ignore the majority of posts where 100HP is mentioned in the title...

I've had a good weekend.............up until now. Mrs. Beard and I've had a full three days off together which happens only about one weekend in five. We went and did some (much overdue) clothes shopping for me, then last night we went to a birthday party in a good Italian restaurant. This morning I went on a sponsored cycle ride (legs didn't work for the next 25 minutes) and tonight a group of us had a pleasant drink in our local club.

And then I come home and check my e-mails. There's one forlorn Tripadvisor comment on airfares to Venice sandwiched between 16 others all that have the words: "Fiat Forum", followed by the words "Reported Post"!

There appears to be a slight raproachement (wish I could spell it, I love that word) so I'm going to look at it again tomorrow night. It is encouraging to see Maxi apologising to Tnaig, and regardless as to whether Demi feels he is at least partly responsible for the deterioration of this thread or not, an apology from him to Tnaig also wouldn't go amiss either.

As for captainslarty, you're beginning to sorely try my patience. If you have something constructive/informative/amusing to add feel free. Of late I haven't seen any of your replies that have contained any of the three so perhaps you may be better spending your time commenting on Beneteau, Jeanneau or Westerly elsewhere.

It's now 01:43 hrs., that's in the morning for those that don't know the 24 hour clock and all I'm seeing is childish bickering. Maxi quoted what I posted previously on another thread and all those comments still stand as far as I'm concerned, the most important aspect of that reply is still that spats like this can alienate existing members and discourage those who've recently arrived.

So tomorrow night at around 11pm (23:00hrs. for those who do know the 24 hour clock) I'll be having a look at it, but I'll have just got back from work and won't be in the best mood as I'll have been dealing with cretins, half wits and imbeciles all day...........and that's just my colleagues :).

On a personal note Tnaig, please accept my apologies for the response you've received in response to your perfectly reasonable questions. There is plenty of information, humour and empathy on here, and a few other things as well, but as it's getting late I can't remember what they are. And I need my bed.

I have commented about this on other car forums and I promise its not intended to perpetuate the issue but you can't volunteer to be a moderator on a large forum like this and then complain when you have to moderate something, I know someone has to do it but i'm not a child so please don't patronise me.
